Andrew Mitchell - Founder
I started out working as a trainee accountant in a large local practice, gaining a wealth of experience across a multitude of disciplines, over 18 years. In 2005 I was approached by one of my clients asking me to join their organisation as there Financial Controller, I wanted the challenge of working in a non-finance based business so jumped at the chance. This is where I obtained my experience in what really happens in an SME and also where I got my desire to be involved in business.
My time spent working in a client’s business has given me what I consider to be a unique perspective on accounting. I understand what pressures are involved in the day-to-day running of a business and my practical knowledge is way beyond spreadsheets and accountancy software. This point of difference drove me to establish AM Counting.
